As a sheriff’s officer, married to a fellow law enforcement officer, and a parent of three children, participating in the Ben to the Shore Bike Tour on Sunday, July 26, 2026 holds deep personal meaning for me.

This ride is more than just miles on a road, it represents solidarity, sacrifice, and support for the families who have lost so much in the line of duty. Every day, my family lives with the realities of this profession, and we understand firsthand the risks and emotional weight that come with it.

Riding in this event allows me to honor fallen and critically injured first responders, while also helping raise essential funds that provide financial relief, strengthen community relationships, and support the mental and emotional wellbeing of those who serve and their loved ones.

It’s a powerful way for me to stand alongside my brothers and sisters in uniform and show my children the importance of service, resilience, and giving back.

I am excited to participate in the 39th Annual The Ben to the Shore on Sunday, July 26, 2026, which supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation!  

The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. We achieve this by providing necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs); cultivating positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve; and providing mental and emotional wellbeing resources to first responders and their families.
