I'm honored to participate in the 38th Annual The Ben to The Shore Bike Tour, supporting the Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) — a mission that hits very close to home.
The FBBCF is a dedicated non-profit working tirelessly to support the children and families of first responders in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. Whether it's providing financial assistance to the families of fallen or critically injured police officers, firefighters, and EMTs, or fostering strong, positive connections between law enforcement and the youth they serve — their impact is real, lasting, and deeply needed.
As the former Chief of the Lower Merion Fire Department, I carry the memory of two brave men — Sean DeMunyck and Tom Royds — who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. I ride in their honor. I ride to remember them. And I ride to ensure the families of heroes like Shawn and Tom never feel forgotten.
